Relax in our on-site restaurant and bar, The Lakeside Bar & Grill offering a seasonal patio overlooking Chocolate Lake.

Each newly renovated (2021) stylish and spaciously appointed guestroom features FREE  hot breakfast buffet, parking and WIFI. Enhanced amenities include indoor pool*, 24hr fitness facility* and business center, token operated games arcade and coin operated guest laundry facility.

*Beginning January 3rd 2024,the pool will be closed on Monday’s and Wednesday’s from 4:00 pm -8:15 pm.

Chocolate Lake is located in the community of Armdale, Nova Scotia, within the city of Halifax. It is situated in a beautiful, forested neighborhood surrounded by  private homes.  The nearby city-operated beach park is a popular family swimming spot in the summertime. It takes its name from a chocolate factory that, for a short time in the early 1900’s, operated on the shore of the lake. The Best Western Plus Chocolate Lake opened in October 2008.
